Crystal Palace landed the ambitious Fulham
Fulham`s new project started unsuccessfully on his return to the Premier League. The newcomer lost 0-2 home to Crystal Palace in the first London derby for the season. Slavisa Jokanovic`s team had some advantage in the first part, but it was catching up after Schlup hit the 41st minute. Wilfried Zaha stamped the visitors` goal with 79 minutes.
Fulham spent more than ? 100 million on new additions, and seven of them were in the starting lineup. Among them were Cheburn, Seri, Schurle and Mitrovich. Both teams started the game vigorously, with the hosts having more control over the ball and looking naked. Mitrovic did not take advantage of the first better situation in the 14th minute. Half an hour later, a Benetke strike with a head could lead the guests forward, but Fabry intervened perfectly.
A little later, Mitrovic again raised problems of defending his opponent. He released himself, but his shot did not hinder Hennessy. Towards the end of half, Palace led. Van Anholt brought out Schlup, who found space to strike, and a powerful jump overwhelmed Fabry at a nearby corner. The second part started with a better game via answers fixed soccer tips at the Palace, with Bennetet getting away with a hit. Zaha missed an excellent opportunity in the 63rd minute. He did not fail, however, at the next excellent chance he found in front of him. 20-year-old Aaron Wang-Biscakne led Saha and he calmly sent the ball past the goal keeper for 0:2, ending Fulham`s hopes. The hosts missed an honorable minute before the end, when Hennessy intervened brilliantly after Sennion`s head.
