Fixed match prediction Lewandowski with another recognition in Europe
Bayern Munich footballer Robert Lewandowski was voted the best athlete in Europe for 2020 in the 63rd edition of the traditional poll of the Polish news agency PAP, which involved 25 national agencies, including the sports department of BTA.
The captain of the Polish national team collected 180 points. Second with 176 points was the seven-time world champion in Formula 1 Lewis Hamilton (Great Britain), and third with 169 points is the world record holder in the shepherd`s jump Armand Duplantis (Sweden). A few days ago, Lewandowski won the FIFA Best Award for Best Footballer in 2020.
The 32-year-old is the third Pole to win one of the world`s oldest polls, dating back to 1958. He was joined by Zdzislaw Krzyszkowiak, an Olympic champion in the 3, 000-meter Olympics in 1960, and Irena Szewinska, a sprinter and long jumper, one of Poland`s most titled and famous athletes, a seven-time Olympic medalist.
