New confirmation has emerged of the version that Dani Alves raped a girl in a nightclub.
The former Barcelona and Brazil defender is in custody on charges of raping a woman in a nightclub. He faces up to 12 years in prison.
Alves had previously changed his account of what happened four times, ending up saying he and the victim had had penetrative sex. Initially, the Brazilian said that he did not know the girl who accused him of rape, then he said that he saw her, but nothing happened. And then he said that it was she who attacked him while the player was about to relieve himself, and gave him a blowjob.
Forensic experts analyzed several semen samples taken from different locations. Thus, the remains of sperm obtained after an intravaginal examination of the victim, sperm found on the girl`s panties, and seminal fluid found on the floor of the nightclub toilet were studied. All of these samples were obtained the night immediately after the alleged rape.
Two days later, the girl gave the police the dress she had worn on the night of the incident, and traces of semen were also found on it.
By comparing all four semen samples with a sample of Alves`s DNA, which he voluntarily gave to investigators (probably referring to saliva), experts found that it was Dani`s sperm.
The data confirms the girl`s version of sex with Alves, who previously tried to deny it.
