Salah decided Leicester`s boxing squad in front of Liverpool`s record
Liverpool finished 2017 with a 2:1 victory over Leicester`s Anfield. The guests led by Jamie Vardi (3 `) at the start, but Merseyside beat the three points thanks to the phenomenal shape of Mohammed Salah (52 `76 `) who scored twice after the break and now has 17 goalsin the Premier League. In the 11th minute, Salah again found himself in a firing position after being taken out of Milner. At the decisive moment, however, Harry Maguire threw himself on a sword and knocked the ball off the Egyptian`s legs. In the 19th minute Mane sent the ball to Schmeichel`s door, but the shot was properly canceled because of an ambush. Immediately afterwards, Salah missed a new opportunity. This time the former Roma player was taken out of Firmino, then transferred to Shamecke, but the ball went sideways. There followed a rescue of Leicester`s watch after Firmino shot. Five minutes before the break, Firmino and Coutinho combined well, but at the last minute Amarty played very accurately and cleared the ball from Liverpool`s midfield.
At the 52nd minute the logical happened and Liverpool equalized. Salah did not make a mistake this time after receiving a draw from Mane, managed two sparrows and shot 1:1.
In the 59th minute, Salah once again used his speed and found himself behind Leicester`s defense. The Egyptian transferred Schmeichel, but the ball went over the door. In the 65th minute, Mane`s second goal was properly canceled due to ambush. Two minutes later, Niddy`s shot from the border of the penalty area flashed inches away from the target.
In the 76th minute, Salah made a complete turn. The Egyptian received from Milner with his back to the door, freed himself from Maguire who tried to foul him, and then fired at the near corner, bringing his 17th goal to the Premier League since the start of the season.
Liverpool remains fourth with a total of 41 points. Leicester is the eighth with 27 points.
